WHO ARE THEY AND WHAT DO THEY WANT ? "TALIBAN CONQUERED AFGHANISTAN"

It all started Twenty years ago in 2001, the USA had a vivid mission of invading Afghanistan, capture, or killing of Islamic militant al-Qaeda, leader, Osama Bin Laden and his goons who were accountable for the 9/11 attack in New York City. The Al-Qaeda were in power since 1996 and was under the protection of the Taliban. It was noted that Osama Bin Laden was residing in Afghanistan and when the USA asked to handover him, they refused, thus, resulted in USA intervening militarily in Afghan resulted in the removal of the terrorist group called Taliban’s from Afghanistan.



WHO ARE TALIBAN'S AND WHAT DO THEY WANT?

“Taliban” word connote “students”. They were founded in Southern Afghanistan by Mulla Mohammad Omar helped pushed the Soviets out of the country in 1989. It was a group of 50 followers founded by Mulla Omar in 1994 whose main agenda was to challenge instability, corruption, and crime that consumed Afghan during the post-soviet-era-civil war.  Later in 1996, they captured Kandahar and seized Kabul. In 2013 Mullah Omar died, although the Taliban didn’t announce his death until 2015.

Before, Taliban had imposed strict Shia laws and their main motive was to spread strict sharia laws throughout the world. Shia laws are more narrow than that of Sunni’s as Shia laws are said to be more orthodox in comparison and not many rights are guaranteed to the women as previously observed - the Taliban had set the rules for women to wear headgears aka Burqas, banned girls from going to the schools, also banned music, television, selling of cigarettes, and mainly, conversion of religion to their own version of sharia laws and imposing of the corporal punishments which include stoning, hanging, hitting, shoving, choking and all other rigorous forms of punishment which were given in early times. However, the sharia laws imposed by the Taliban's before was confined to the lifestyle of that period which was around 20years back and now that the world has developed with the advancement of technologies, artificial intelligence, and Humankind, there can be different versions of sharia laws are likely to be imposed by the Taliban against the Civilians depending upon their approach. 

The USA, however, became successful in accomplishing their agenda to which it resulted in overthrowing of Taliban’s from Afghan. 

 HOW DID IT HAPPEN?

In 2020 Feb, USA, and Taliban signed a historic document that gave 14 month timetable for America to withdraw all of its forces from Afghanistan. Though the USA was supposed to withdraw its forces by May 2021 but, they withdrew on 31ST August. While the Taliban had started capturing the outskirt of Kabul, the president Ashraf Ghani alongside Diplomats had fled from the country leaving all the citizens living at a risk. 

However, Taliban have adjured the citizens and diplomats not to worry as they won’t be crucial as how they are projected. Taliban’s have been vocal about their agenda and broadcasted all their interviews on social sites where it can be seen on an interview with a US-based women journalist, they had guaranteed that women won’t have to face trouble, however, they will have to cover their face i.e, only allowed to show their eyes and when asked further, they contended that the girls and women would be permitted to attend schools till their higher education.  Also, the Taliban had expressly expressed that there won’t be a democratic system and only sharia law shall be imposed within Afghanistan.

However, as it can be seen that :  

 1 The Taliban’s have started using violence in an unsaid manner on the civilians at the airport side.

-       2  They have removed hoarding that had faces of women models.

-         3  There has been an explosion and firing outside the airport premises.

-        4  Had it not been for the act of the Taliban conquering Afghan, people wouldn't have died due to rash running, sweeping off of the flight, and much-committed suicide in the fear of the Taliban.

-          5 Taliban are found to be going door to door at the house of the previous government workers and threatening them for life.

-       6   ISIS suicide bombers are found to be roaming outside the airport area and the whole of Afghanistan.

 

                                                      RIGHT TO SEEK ASYLUM


It can be seen online and on Tv that the developed nations have been trying to provide asylum to the Afghani refugees. The USA has evacuated 88,000 refugees so far and many other countries like, Russia, Turkey, India, and others have been providing asylum to the refugees. But, the UK government had clearly expressed that they won't be taking or giving asylum to the refugees. Also, France had already announced to stop their evacuation program as they have already evacuated all its citizens to France. However, Afghanistan is a party to the UDHR which denoted that the countries that come under UDHR are likely and bound to provide  asylum to the refugees under Article 14 of the UDHR read along with the Article 13 of the Declaration which states that everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.
